A Ruthin nursery is celebrating after becoming the only childcare centre in north Wales to gain a highly prized Level 3 e-Quality Counts award.
The National Day Nurseries Association awarded the e-Quality Counts Level 3 award to the Mill Childcare Centre in Ruthin’s Lon Parcwr.
Gill Kensall, who manages the nursery, said: “We are absolutely thrilled to have been awarded e-Quality Counts at Level 3. This is a prestigious award and reaching this point is a culmination of much hard work from the nursery team. We would like to thank everyone who has supported us.”
Llyr Gruffydd, Plaid Cymru’s North Wales AM who has an office in the town, added: “It was a pleasure to visit the nursery and congratulate them on their achievement. Gill, nursery owner Ffion and the enthusiastic and happy staff deserve a lot of credit for their achievements and it was clear from my visit that the children were enjoying their outdoor play in a fantastic setting. Level 3 is the highest award possible by the NDNA and that speaks for itself.”
Purnima Tanuku, chief executive of National Day Nurseries Association, said: “Achieving e-Quality Counts involves a great deal of hard work and development and illustrates a nursery’s absolute commitment to children. The nursery should be very proud of this achievement.”
