History was made in the National Assembly recently when young parliamentarians met alongside Assembly Members for the first time.
This is the first time in any elected Parliament that a joint session has been held between senior politicians and their junior partners.
Llyr Gruffydd, Plaid Cymru’s North Wales AM, said: “I was delighted to meet some of the young representatives, who have been elected to the Youth Parliament. The standard of debate was very high and that gives us faith that this new generation are more than able to step up to the plate in the future. It was a particular pleasure to meet with local representatives from the North and I intend to continue working with these very able young people in the coming months and years.”
